Hahnenklee is in the district of Goslar and is often referred to as Hahnenklee Goslar. If Goslar is where the arts, culture and history can be found, than Hahnenklee is the neighbouring playground for leisure and sports. Only 16 kilometres away from Goslar this idyllic health resort attracts over 100,000 visitors each year to experience its beautiful natural scenery. It is a ramblers dream with trails for all levels from 5 to 25 kilometres, including trails for wheelchair users. You can start some of these trails from the top of the Bocksberg Mountain (726m). |
| One of the landmarks that you can not help notice is the Stave Church. It was built in 1907/08 and modelled on Norwegian Stave churches. This Stave church is completely built from wood taken around the Harz. It is a stunning building to be admired both inside and outside. There are many musical performances taking place. Check the local tourist board for up to date information. Also the German composer Paul Lincke, who was the creator of the Berlin operetta "Berlin Luft" the hymn of Berlin, spent the last few months of his life here and is buried in the town cemetery. |
