Osterode This year the Christmas market is based on the theme of fairy tales and legends. The market is open from 25th November - 22nd December, opening times, Monday-Friday 11.30am - 8.00pm, Saturday, 10.00am - 8,00pm, Sunday 11.30am - 8.00pm. The forest established in the marketplace creates a cozy atmosphere and is open until 31st December to enjoy mulled wine, a big punch and other treats and specialties from the Harz. Quedlinburg Quedlinburg Christmas market from 25th November - 21st December, offers a great timbered backdrop to the market. Lots of great, stalls attract visitors. The program on the stage offers a varied program for adults and children. As part of the Quedlinburg Advent calendar, the largest in Germany, opens daily at 16:30 clock the door of a historic half-timbered house around the Schlossberg with surprises for all ages. Thale From 26th - 28th November, can be found in the valley of furniture in the Muller Steinbachstraße, in Karl-Marx-Strasse and at the Town Hall Square, a small but delightful "Fairy Tale Christmas Market". Wernigerode Christmas market on the square in front of the historic Town Hall, from the 25th November - 22nd December. Christmas stalls with crafts and typical Harz delicacies invite you to linger. Enjoy the scents of the Christmas market and the cultural program with local choirs, brass bands, hunting horn blowers, puppet shows and story hours. The Christmas market from Sunday to Thursday 10.00am - 7.00pm, Friday and Saturday from 10.00am - 9.00pm. Wernigerode Castle The castle of Wernigerode invites on 17th December - 7th January, to visit the small historical Christmas market in the festively decorated inner courtyard. Special items are also in the museum tour. On both days, is a reduced admission to the museum. Very popular with young and old are the fairy tales story time by the fireplace at 3.00pm followed by a visit from Santa Claus with gifts for the children. |
